Louise Bodiford

Louise Bodiford, 82, passed away on Nov. 15, 2023, in Gainesville. She was born Aug. 27, 1941, in Perry to Henry Rosten French and Mandy Madora Johnson French. Reading was her lifetime hobby; she was never without a book or something to read. Her greatest joy was her granddaughters, Stephanie and Ansley. She loved them more than anything. She also enjoyed daily phone calls with her sister, Tommie Ann Trusty, who lives in California and chat room talks with her nieces who live across the United States. She was a strong, fierce little lady. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 30 years, Harold Bodiford; her parents, Henry Rosten French Mandy Madora Johnson; two brothers, Henry “Buddy” French and Hinton French; and sisters, Willa Mae Brooks and Betty Margaret French. She is survived by: one daughter, Angi English and her husband, Mark; two granddaughters, Stephanie English and Ansley English; two sisters, Tommie Ann Trusty and Emelyn Nelson; and her beloved cousin, Dora Miller; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Wallace Homes officiating.
