‘The best Christmas ever’

When Kaitlyn Smith, 9, sat down to write a letter to Santa, she made her dearest wish ring loud and true:

“I’ve been a good girl. For Christmas, I would like a lot of toys, but what I really want is for my Bubby to come home for Christmas from Afghanistan. I really miss my Bubby. I love you and Mrs. Claus and all the reindeers.”

Smith then placed the letter on the Christmas tree for Santa to see and left her wishes in his hands.
