Ralph Grenville Trickler, 81, of Covington, Ga., passed away Nov. 29, 2023, at Riverside Healthcare while in respite care. He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Ralph and Wanda Faye Trickler. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1966 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Ralph worked as an internal auditor, cost accountant and CFO for several different companies in various locations, including in Perry, Fla. He was very sportsoriented and coached youth baseball teams. He was an avid golfer and had 10 holein-ones in his lifetime. He was a devoted fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball sports. Ralph was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Covington. He volunteered as an auditor and was a past president and treasurer of the Agape Sunday School Class where he also taught. Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Bonnie; sons: Curtis (Karen) Trickler of Covington, Ga., and Christopher (Jen) Trickler of Monroe, Ga.; two grandchildren, Travis and Andrew Trickler of Covington; his sister, Sharon (Lester) Hicks of Dunellen, Fla., and brother, James Trickler of Lomax, Ill. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at 3 p.m. at his church. A memorial has been established for the First UMC of Covington Food Bank or the Covington/ Conyers Choral Guild (PO Box 1132, Covington, GA 30015).
