    $37.5 million in Hurricane Idalia bill for timber owners

    Pine trees were snapped in half by Category 3 strength winds and tornadoes spawned by Hurricane Idalia, which swept across Taylor County on Aug. 30. The devastation in this aerial drone photo was captured by Eric Biron on Green Farm Road.

    The Hurricane Idalia Relief Bill passed by the Florida Legislature earlier this fall included $37.5 million for the Timber Landowner Assistance Cost-Share Grant Program to help landowners impacted by the storm.
