Lester Lauria 70, passed in Sacramento, Calif.
He was born April 19, 1953, in Perry to Ola C. and Willie Mae Lauria.
He graduated from Jerkins High School in 1970. He retired from McClellan AFB in 1999.
Lester was an ordained deacon and assigned to the Tribe of Ephriam. His favorite Scriptures were Proverbs 3:5-6,1 John 4:8 and John 15:5. He was an active prayer warrior on Wednesday night prayer line.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Vernessa Lauria; his son, Lester Jr. (Stacey); his daughters, Christine Crump (Andre Sr.) and Consuelo Knight; his grandchildren, Syr Lauria, Prince Lauria, Kayla Crump, Andre Crump Jr., Syriss Ellis, Quiera Johnson, Sha’Kira Morris and Zaria Knight; his brother, Charles Lauria (Blanche); his aunt, Lottie Hadley; his uncle ,R.C. Lauria; sister-in-law, Bettie Ann Lauria; and great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, AP family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. At Trinity House of Praise in Perry.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
