Lola Ruth Morgan

Lola Ruth Morgan, 92, passed away on Dec. 7, 2023, in Perry surrounded by her family. Ruth was born Dec. 8, 1930, in Brunswick, Ga., to William Henry Jolley and Ruth Sapp Jolley. She loved to crochet, work with ceramics, reading and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ponce Morgan; her parents, William and Ruth Jolley; her grandson, Linc Murphy; son-in-law, Larry Murphy; and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by: three daughters, Connie Hudson and her husband, B.M., Judy Murphy, Myrtice McCray and her husband, Jeff; four grandchildren, Amber, Erin, Shannon and Shawn; and 10 greatgrandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Robert Kirkland officiating. Interment services followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday, Dec. 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
