Taylor County Fire-Rescue crews had to use the “Jaws of Life” to extricate a New Port Richey woman trapped in an overturned vehicle here Saturday night, Dec. 28.
“Both passengers were entrapped when we arrived on scene; we were able to open the driver’s side door and get the male passenger out of the vehicle. However, air bags had to be used to stabilize the vehicle and then the ‘Jaws of Life’ were deployed in order to cut the passenger’s side door open to extricate the female passenger who was trapped inside,” Lt. Chris Williams said.
