Roy Allison Copeland, 75, passed away on January 15, 2024 in Tallahassee, FL. Roy was born December 16, 1948 in Cairo, Georgia to George Daniel Copeland and Alma Louise Boutwell Copeland.

Roy honorably served our country in theUnited States Army 199^th Light Infantry Division during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a farmer, diesel mechanic, and truck driver, and was an author of two published novels. Roy loved to watch and tell stories and share thoughts with family and friends. He felt his greatest accomplishments in life were his loving marriage, and his children and grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, George Daniel Copeland and Alma Louise Copeland; and an infant son, Michael Andrew Copeland.

Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Copeland; his children, Wendy (Dustin) Grubbs, Daniel (Avery) Copeland, and Tracy (Christine) Copeland; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; as well as a host of close friends and relations.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Dennis Nobles officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
