Mayo author to speak at library on Jan. 29

The Friends of the Taylor County Public Library welcomes author C.D. Croft as guest speaker Monday, Jan. 29, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the library.

Croft is a seventh generation Floridian from Mayo who is a farm/ranch hand, dog-breeder/trainer, radio announcer/ deejay, high school teacher/coach, music teacher/musician and church pastor.

His book, “Enoch…Florida Cracker Understanding Hope,” is a “fiction-based on fact” story about his Florida Cracker grandfather.

The program is free and open to the public. It will also be livestreamed on the group’s Facebook page.
