    Sandra Elizabeth Bolton-Ward

    Sandra Elizabeth Bolton-Ward, 83, passed away on Jan. 21, 2024, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Mayo.

    She was born Sept. 22, 1940, in Perry to James R. Jackson Jr. and Opal Inez Dixon Jackson.

    Sandra was a devoted Christian and passionately ministered to children and adults. Through the years, she served her church teaching children’s church, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

    In her later years she taught the senior adults “Prime Timers” Sunday School class.

    Sandra had a very large family and they were her greatest joy. She always enjoyed hosting family gatherings and spending time with her loved ones.

    She was preceded in death by her husbands, William “Billy” Bolton and Charles Ward; her parents James R. and Opal Jackson; and her brother, Kenneth Jackson.

    She is survived by: two children, Marsha Taylor and her husband, Glenn, Andrea Williamson and her husband, Billy; five grandchildren, Drew Taylor (Randi), Sara Vinson (Jason), Magan Williamson, Alisha Williamson and Toni Watson (Lewis); 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jayme McCall (Clinton); as well as nieces Lindsay, Lauren, Hannah and Chelsie; and nephew, Ryan.

    A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at Blue Creek Baptist Church with Pastors Justin Goins and Eddie Pridgeon officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Taylor County Senior Center at 800 West Ash St. Perry, FL 32347.

    All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
