Temporary bridge

Anderson Columbia is currently working on two bridge replacement projects on Beach Road (County Road 361) between Olan Murphy Road and Dennis Howell Road. Crews are currently in the process of constructing a temporary bridge to accommodate traffic while completely reconstructing the first of two existing bridges, which should extend their life for more than 50 years. Drivers could see periodic daytime lane closures on weekdays for the duration of the project, which began in late 2023 and is scheduled to be completed in spring 2025 at a cost of $10.4 million.
