House fire under investigation

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) and State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating a house fire that may have claimed the life of a local man last week, Dec. 30.

While investigators are waiting for confirmation from the medical examiner as to the victim’s identity, sources said the man was Manning (M.L.) Tucker, 82.
