William Lawton Yates

William Lawton Yates, 66, passed away on Feb. 15, 2024, in Chillicothe, Ohio.

He was born on Mrch 30, 1957, in Albany, Ga., to Maurice and Florrie Yates.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Florrie, and his brother, Steven.

He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Pamela; four sons, Nathien (Katt), Joshua (Lori), William (Anna) and Seth (Brittany); nine grandchildren, Tristan, Ryder, Haley, Oscar, Jesup, Auley, Damien, Liam and Seth Jr.; his sister, Valerie (Robbie) and nephew, Scout.

Willam was raised in both Tennessee and Florida. Both he and his wife were members of the Franciscan Order of Celi De as Brother Francie Patrick and Sister Elizabeth Jacoba.

William was a past office manager at St. James Episcopal Church, as well as an elementary school teacher in Georgia. He attended both North Florida College and Valdosta State University.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, at 3:30 p.m. At St. James Episcopal Church with Father Kenneth Thompson officiating.

A private family burial service will follow at Carlton Cemetery immediately following the church service.
