Goat cheese-making class Jan. 14

The Taylor County Extension Service will host a goat cheese-making class Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Those interested in attending must pre-register and pre-pay by Monday, Jan. 13. Class size is limited to 10 participants. The cost of the class is $10. RSVP to (850) 838-3508 or lwiggins@ufl. edu.

“Would you like to make your own cheese?” Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent III Lori Wiggins asked. “This class is exceptionally good for: people who want a ‘homesteading’ type of experience; families who want a ‘hands n’ learning experience that shows the kids where their food comes from and how it gets to the table; and people who want to experience how to live, shop and eat locally.”
