    Mary ‘Lucile’ Wilder

    Mary “Lucile” Wilder,
    77, passed away on Feb. 24 2024, in Tallahassee. Lucile was born July 20, 1946, in Perry to Till Bailey
    and Bertha Vinson Allen. She loved gardening and completing yard work, especially her flowers. Lucile loved both her gardens, inside and out. Lucile was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Church of God. She enjoyed helping out the elderly with her cooking skills and loved to have adventures at the local Goodwill. She worked as a cook with different restaurants over the years, where she shared
    her knowledge of cooking. Even when she was not at work, she thoroughly enjoyed cooking for friends
    and family. Lucile was preceded in death by: two children, Lisa Carol and Joseph “Peanut” Fowler; two grandsons, Joseph Fowler and Mite Buzbee; her parents, Till Bailey and Bertha Vinson Allen; and her sister, Lill Odom.
    She is survived by: her son, Jimmy Ray (Penny) Mathis; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Gladys Bailey, Nancy Cruce, Marie Norman and Carol Stanton; and her daughter-in-law, Joann Fowler; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Feb.
