Michael Darrin Kinsey, “Fat Rat,” 52, passed away on March 4, 2024, at his home in “Mexico” Perry. Fat Rat was born on April 14, 1971, in Perry to Mrs. Elaine Kinsey.
Fat Rat was a good ole country boy. He loved running dogs, being in the woods, fishing, hunting and mud-bogging. He had a significant impact on the community and everyone he met.
He was a born leader and would always take care of anyone in need, and he would give you the shirt off his back.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was the best G-PAW in the world.
Darrin was preceded in death by: his mother, Elaine Kinsey; his grandmother, Erna Kinsey; his brother, Randy Kinsey; and his uncle, Haywood Kinsey.
He is survived by: his three sons, Devin Kinsey, Justin (Nicole) Kinsey, Cade (Savannah) Kinsey; “the daughter he never had,” Paris Kinsey; his grandchildren, Tucker Kinsey, Kiley Kinsey, Kasen Kinsey, Sawyer Kinsey, Claudiah Kinsey, Mazlynn Kinsey and Kash Kinsey; his brothers, Christopher Kinsey and Billy Laird; and one sister, Juilah Kinsey; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Perry First Church of God on Hwy. 221 on March 8, 2024 at 2 p. m. Friends may sign the online guest book at www.joepburnsfuneralhomes.com
