Ronnie Mitchell Edwards

Mr. Ronnie Mitchell Edwards, 74, passed away on March 1, 2024, in Tallahassee. He was born Aug. 14, 1949, in Perry to John Rufus Edwards and Vera Dunn Edwards. Ronnie honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War with the 13th Bombardment Squadron. While in the Air Force he worked on single and dual engine jet aircraft. After coming home, he logged with his father for many years, and later served his community with the road department. He thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being in nature. Working on outboard motors and small engines was his most cherished hobby. Ronnie was preceded in death by: his parents, John “Buck” and Vera Edwards; and his sister, Janice Gunter. He is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Rebecca Edwards; two sons, Mitchell Edwards and his wife, Kristy, and Alex Edwards; one granddaughter, Haley Veal; one brother, Larry Edwards and his wife, Francis Edwards; and one nephew, Chris Gunter and his wife, Dina Gunter.
