Taylor County Habitat for Humanity is currently taking applications to assist local resident with home repairs that are directly related to damage caused by Hurricane Idalia.
The deadline to submit an application for assistance is Monday, April 15.
Applications must be picked up from the Habitat office, located at 1708 South Byron Butler Parkway (adjacent to The Book Mart/Polly’s Sunshine Shop).
“We have received funding through State Farm Insurance and Pepsi. While funding is limited, we are partnering with Taylor County Long Term Recovery Group to help with hurricane recovery,” Executive Director Karol Barr said.
“Both organizations are non-profit and are supported through donations and grant funds. We also work with volunteers and encourage those that are willing to help to contact us at (850) 584-3838 or Pastor David Johnson with the recovery group at (850) 290-2298,” she said.
Applications will be assessed and evaluated based on HUD and Habitat International guidelines.
