Errors cost TCMS in 9-3 Wakulla loss

The Taylor County Middle School baseball team took on Wakulla Middle School last Tuesday and came up on the short end of the 9 to 3 contest.

Inconsistent pitching combined with 5 defensive errors were the main contributors to the loss. Joshua Mixon made his first start of the season on the mound for the Bulldogs and got into early trouble due to 3 bases on balls and 3 costly errors. Mixon gave way to Mikey Hammock for relief in the first inning and left the mound giving up 6 runs, 3 walks and striking out 1. Hammock pitched a strong 2 and 1/3 innings allowing only 2 runs, 3 hits, 2 strikeouts and 4 walks.
