    Pamela Ann Clague

    Pamela Ann Clague, 68, passed away on March 27, 2024, in Perry.

    She was born Dec. 11, 1955, in Lafayette, Ind., to Arthur Neil James and Janice L. Searing James.

    Pam loved to bake, cook and can foods. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, and was well-known for her red velvet cakes.

    She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and volunteered in the nursery and AWANA.

    She also enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers, but she especially enjoyed being with her family.

    Pam was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl Clague Jr.; her parents, Arthur and Janice James; a daughter, Melonie Padgett; and great-grandson, Kacen Brooks.

    She is survived by: three children, Rebecca Tuten (Ronny), Cecil Padgett Jr. (Maria) and Michael Salmons; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, plus one more great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Neil James (Linda); one sister, Barbara Cannon (Randy); brother-in-law, Allen Clague; and sister-in-law, Shirley Clague; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and one very special friend, Connie Gibson.

    We would like to give a special “thank you” to Ellen Hill and Kathy Wiles. We will forever be in your debt for the kindness you’ve shown.

    A graveside service was held on Friday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Brother Ben Kimmell officiating.
