    Elizabeth “Libby” Pauline Wilson-Botello

    Elizabeth “Libby” Pauline Wilson-Botello, 79, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Perry. She was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Florida to Lonnie Edward Wilson and Pauline L. Wilson. Libby was Baptist and a member of the Perry First Church of God. She worked as the lunchroom manager with Gladys-Morse Elementary School until her retirement, where she is remembered for being kind to everyone. Libby loved to garden and go fishing when she could. Hickory Mound was where you could find her fishing at the most, among others such as Cherry Lake. Her most memorable times were participating in the family cookouts, gatherings and holidays when she would see all of her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lonnie Edward Wilson and Pauline L Wilson; her siblings, Caroline George, Dennis Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, Edward Wilson and Ann Laccone; and the father of her children, Franklin Paul Botello. She is survived by: her children, Angela R. (Michael) Scott, Christine B. (Jim) Jenkins and Desiree C. (Amanda) BotelloThomas; her grandchildren, Michaesha Parker, Aaron Scott, Anthony Tomlinson, and Rodney Tomlinson; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, at noon at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Danny Lundy officiating. Interment services will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Shady Grove. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
