Those who wish to purchase “forever stamps” at the current rate of 46 cents have a week and a half before the latest increase hits, bringing the price of a first-class stamp to 49 cents.
The six-percent increase, which goes into effect Sunday, Jan. 26, was requested by the United States Postal Service in September and approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) in December.
