SWAT team in Salem

Salem residents experienced a few tense moments Sunday afternoon when Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) deputies responded in force to reports of an individual who had made threats to harm himself and others. The incident concluded without any injuries or arrests, however the TCSO declined to comment further on the final resolution due to medical privacy laws (HIPPA).
