Clean-up day at Hickory Mound is April 20

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will host a clean-up event at the Hickory Mound Impoundment this Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.

Clean-up will be conducted on land and by water (bring your own boat/kayak).

All members of the public who are interested in attending are encouraged to meet at the first boat ramp just past the informational sign on Cow Creek Grade at the southeast corner of the impoundment at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 20.

Lunch, snacks and refreshments will be provided, as well as a limited number of buckets, garbage bags, “pickers” and gloves, but participants should bring your own re-fillable beverage container, bug spray, boots and work gloves.
