Special Olympics Torch Run

Local law enforcement officers, Florida Department of Corrections officers from Taylor Correctional Institution (TCI) and first responders joined forces Wednesday for the Special Olympics Torch Run ending at the Taylor County Courthouse in downtown Perry. Known as the “Guardians of the Flame,” each year dedicated and compassionate law enforcement members carry the “Flame of Hope” to “light the way” for athletes statewide and raise awareness for Special Olympics.
