Sherry Denise Overstreet

Sherry Denise Overstreet 52, of Griffin, Ga., passed away on April 15, 2024. She was born in Perry to Walter Overstreet Sr. and Precious Austin Overstreet on Nov. 7, 1971. Sherry was a 1990 graduate of Taylor County High School. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and traveling. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Overstreet Sr. Sherry is survived by: her mother, Precious Overstreet Holmes; her children, Christopher Bellamy, Chelsea Jackson and Jarvis Jackson; grandson, Kayden Jackson; granddaughter, Jour’nei Folds; sister, Jessilyn Overstreet; brothers, Walter Overstreet Jr. (Phyllis), Willie Hawkins (Pearl) and Larry Holmes; three nieces, Tiffany Overstreet-Baker, Makayla Randolph and Dashari Hawkins; and four nephews, Tyler Overstreet, William Overstreet, D’Kari Hawkins and D’Marquez Hawkins. Sherry is also survived by a host of aunts, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, from 5-7 p.m. At Evans-Walker Funeral Home Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at the Joe P. Burns Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
