Although the biggest impacts to local tax revenues from the closures of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose mill and West Fraser’s Perry sawmill are not expected to hit in the 2024-25 fiscal year, the Taylor County Commission is bracing for what will likely be major reductions to ad valorem property taxes in future years.
