Traffic along Perry’s sole rail line could resume as early as today (Friday), just three days after a train derailed here, causing noticeable damage to the tracks along the main curve between Jefferson and Drew streets.

City Manager Bob Brown said Thursday he had been told by railway officials that the tracks could be re-opened to traffic as soon as today, while the crossing at Drew Street could re-open as soon as Monday.
