    William Crum

    William Crum, 95, formerly of Carrabelle, passed away on May 1, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, surrounded by family. He was born on Dec. 23, 1928, to George and Ollie Ola Crum. William was a Christian and a member of Carrabelle Christian Center. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a commercial f isherman in Carrabelle for more than 40 years. William was a Korean War veteran, earning the rank of Sergeant First Class upon separation from the Army in 1952. He had the privilege of being accompanied by his grandson Kenny Clark on the Veterans Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., in April 2023. It was a great honor for them both and created fond memories. William was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 70 years, Peggy Crum, and their daughter, Sandra Crum Chandler. He is survived by: daughters, Evelyn Driskell (Jerry) and Norma Blume (James) of Perry; special grandchildren, Carla Clark (Kurt) and Kenny Clark (Heather); several other grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; a greatgreat-granddaughter; special classmate and and friend, Addie McKenzie. Graveside services were held on May 4, at 1 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Perry with Pastor James Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home in Perry.
