    Philip “Phil” Louis Kallschmidt

    Philip “Phil” Louis Kallschmidt, 83, passed away on April 16, 2024, in Perry. Phil was born on Aug. 23, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an aviation mechanic all his life, working for Procter & Gamble, Thomas & Betts and Harrah’s. He worked on his own full-time up until just a few weeks prior to his death. He was a hard worker, never met a stranger, and was always ready to help anyone in need. Phil was proceeded in death by: his wife, Carol (Bunny) Kallschmidt; fiance, Barb Parker; his father, Louis Kallschmidt; his mother, Martha Kallschmidt Zolg; and stepfather, Chic Zolg. He is survived by: his daughters Cynthia (John) Bradshaw and Amy (DeWayne) Sadler; grandchildren, Jared (Ali) Bradshaw, Zach (Sarah) Bradshaw, Nathan (Keysha) Sadler, Nicholas (Jessica) Sadler, Noah Sadler, Tailor Gillyard (James Woods) and Joseph (Cathrine) Bradshaw; great-grandchildren, Elena Bradshaw, Sean Bradshaw, Baby Bradshaw, Jacob Sadler and Onyx Anderson Woods; and a host of family and friends. Services for Phil will be Saturday, May 18, at 3 p.m. at Northside Church of God, 1339 N. Byron Butler Pkwy., with Pastor David Johnson officiating. His local pilot friends will honor his friendship, dedication and service to aviation by conducting a fly-over for the service.
