Hampton accuses city of nepotism, lack of diversity

After accusing the City of Perry of nepotism in its hiring practices and complaining about a lack of diversity on its police force, City Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton received pushback from fellow councilmembers and staff at the city’s May 14 meeting.
