The City of Perry has installed new metal outer doors on bathrooms at Rosehead Park to protect the existing wooden doors and prevent illegal entry after hours when park facilities are closed. City Parks Supervisor Garrett Johnson provided an update on the additional security features at the city’s May 28 meeting, just one month after reporting that numerous porcelain toilets and sinks were “busted up” at Rosehead Park over the previous weekend. According to Johnson, the new metal doors are locked at night by the fire department and unlocked by a parks department employee in the mornings.
