Barbara G. Weatherly, a beloved member of the Perry community, passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on July 13, 1950, in Perry, Barbara was a cherished mother, a dedicated school bus driver for Taylor County schools and a pillar of strength for her family. Throughout her life, Barbara touched the hearts of her loved ones with her kindness, compassion and unwavering love. Her dedication to safely transporting students and her warm smile will always be remembered by those whose lives she positively impacted. Barbara is survived by her loving sons, Jerry Weatherly (Karen) and Robert Weatherly (Sandy), who she raised with boundless love and care. Their memories of her will forever keep her spirit alive. A memorial service to honor Barbara’s life will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Brother Billy Gipson on Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m. The service will celebrate Barbara’s life and her impact on those around her. Barbara G. Weatherly will be deeply missed by all who know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories she leaves behind.
