    Beaches Community Clean Up is planned for July 13

    In partnership with the Taylor Baptist Association’s “Serve Taylor” initiative, Blue Creek Baptist Church will spearhead a Coastal Clean-Up Day and free cook-out for the Beaches community on Saturday, July 13.

    Volunteers are invited to gather at Blue Creek Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. to receive their clean-up assignments; the clean-up will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    A free cookout will be held at the church from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with burgers, chips and drinks being served.

    A free drawing for a $100 Walmart gift card will be held at 3 p.m. (must be present to win).

    Clean-up tools and trash bags will be provided; everyone is also encouraged to bring their own supplies.

    The areas to be covered include: Beach Road from Hodges Park to Nowhere Grille and Keaton Beach Boat Ramp to Fish Creek, as well as Keaton Beach, Dekle Beach, Cedar, Dark and Bird islands.

    Blue Creek Baptist Church is located at 21070 Beach Road.
