Trains rumbling again downtown

A familiar sound returned to downtown Perry Tuesday morning, when the horn of an approaching train gave notice that commercial traffic was once again moving along the city’s rail line, a week after a derailment damaged the tracks.

A lone train engine arrived Friday to collect the cars left from last week’s incident, while crews are continuing work at the crossing on Drew Street, which was also damaged during the derailment.
