City to discuss ‘once-a-week’ garbage pickup

    Posted on July 10, 2024

City of Perry Sanitation crews are shown picking up vegetative debris recently on a street just off Hwy. 19. City officials are considering going to once-per-week residential household garbage pick-up to give crews more time to pick up trash, garbage, household items and vegetative debris piled alongside city rights-of-ways.

The city council will hold a workshop on July 16 to discuss moving to once-a-week residential household garbage pick-up as part of an effort to devote more manpower and time to picking up the piles of mixed trash and other debris being placed on the right-of-way of city streets.
