Amy Lynn Self, 47, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Perry.

She was born Dec. 31, 1976, in Gainesville to Howard C. Mathis and Donna Eichholz Clifton.

Amy was a Baptist. She worked as the safety and recruiting coordinator with E-Transport in Perry for four years.

She enjoyed life and her family.

She was very talented in photography.

Amy was one-of-a-kind, with a heart big enough to love everyone, a soul sweet enough to make the Devil cry because the Devil could not sway her to hate anyone. She didn’t deserve this! She was one-of-a-kind and so thoughtful about everyone else she put them before her own health.

Amy is survived by: her husband, Steven C. Self; her children, Dylan Self, Emma Self and Branson Self; her parents, Howard C. Mathis and Donna E. Clifton; her dad, Lee Clifton; and her siblings, Brian Mathis and Krissy, David Terry and Tara, and Shaun Cooper; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at Blue Creek Baptist Church, 21070 Beach Road.
