Clarence Peter Bolden – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Peter Bolden, born on March 3, 1949. He died on July 5, 2024, at the age of 75.
Clarence was the beloved husband of Mamie Lee Bolden, with whom he shared 49 beautiful years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to true love and partnership.
Clarence’s life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a rock for those who knew him, always reliable, always present. His quirky sense of humor was legendary, lighting up rooms and bringing joy to everyone he encountered. Clarence had a unique ability to find humor in the everyday, turning mundane moments into cherished memories. His laughter was infectious, and his presence brought a sense of warmth and comfort.
A man of strong principles, Clarence embodied a sense of duty that inspired all around him. He was the kind of person who could always be counted on, no matter the situation. His dependability was matched only by his boundless love for his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure their happiness and well-being, sacrificing his own needs without hesitation.
Clarence’s legacy is one of love, laughter and unwavering dedication. He leaves behind a family who adored him, friends who cherished him, and a world that was brighter because of him. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the countless memories he gave us, and the knowledge that his spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

He is survived by: his wife, Mamie Bolden; and three stepchildren, Annie Jane Blaylock, Wade Hall and Juanita Rieara; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Graveside service to be held Saturday, July 13, at 10 a.m. at Springhill Cemetery.
