It was truly a family affair when Marine veteran and Perry native William C. Scott was presented the Congressional Gold Medal for his service during World War II during ceremonies held in the town he now calls home, St. Petersburg.
All four of his sisters, as well as his daughter and several nephews, were on hand to witness the long overdue honor.
