    With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Jimmie Jordan. Born on May 1, 1946, Jimmie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

    Throughout his life, Jimmie touched the hearts of many with his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and his memory will be cherished forever.

    Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mary Murdock Jordan, his first wife, Diane Jordan, and his sister, Wanda Sue Jones.

    He is survived by his wife of 16 years Mary Jordan, two sons Jimmie Jr. (Darlene) and Brent Jordan (Mary); a sister Margaret Terry, stepsons Tommy, Kevin, and Robby Wilson; seven grandchildren Jake Jordan (Whitney), Justin Jordan, Shayla Bradford (Chris),  Catrina LaValle (Ryan), Destiny Wilson (Garrett), Tamara Rece (Dewey), Jenny Dice, nine great-grandchildren Avery, Aiden, Brooklynn, Garrett, William, Ean, Eli, Landon, and Brody. 

    As the family and friends mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, funeral services in honor of Jimmie Jordan are set to take place to celebrate his life and legacy. The love and joy that Jimmie leaves behind will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. 

    The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the funeral services, which will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with Brother Gary Blanton officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
