Levonne Newton Price

Mrs. Levonne Newton Price, 73, passed away peacefully on Aug. 5, 2024, at the Big Bend Hospice Inpatient Unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 18, 1950, to Hazel Levon Crowder and Dennis Newton. Levonne was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of more than 50 years, Geoffrey Edwin Price Sr.; and one grandson, Joshua William Price. She lived in Perry for more than 40 years. She is survived by: her three children, Geoffrey Edwin Price Jr. (Marcialene), Dr. Shannon Price (Mark McElfresh) and Elizabeth “Libby” Denmark (Bart); one grandson, Geoffrey Edwin Price III (Elena); one granddaughter, Dr. Kaylee Day (Brian); two greatgrandsons, William Day and Liam Price; one sister, Robin Crowder Vickers (Glenn); one brother, Horace Benjamin Crowder (Martha); and several nieces and nephews. Levonne was a homemaker who enjoyed cross-stitch, crocheting and ancestry research. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home.
