Farm Bureau to hold youth speech contest

Taylor County students ages 14-18 are invited to participate in Taylor County Farm Bureau’s Youth Speech Contest.

The county event will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, at 4:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the district competition planned Sept. 5. From there, the district winner will compete in the state finals, which will be held in conjunction with the Florida Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Meeting planned in October.

Speeches, which will be limited to five minutes, must address the topic: “How does the Florida Farm Bureau Federation help connect youth with the agriculture industry?”
