With Taylor County Fire-Rescue responding to 404 medical calls over the past three years, the Taylor County Commission is seeking state funds to purchase automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) for 11 unequipped county vehicles.
Commissioners agreed last week to pursue the grant through the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program. They also waived the usual requirement for two public hearings on grant requests due to the program’s timeline.
