Lee claims self-defense

Accused murderer Raymond Mark Lee is affirming self-defense for his role in the death of Derek Lamont Dixon, the 44-year-old Perry man whose body was found in a wooded area off U.S. Highway 98 in September 2012.

Jury selection in the case began Monday, Jan. 27, and witnesses began taking the stand Tuesday following opening statements from Assistant State Attorney John Weed and defense attorney Baya Harrison.
