$372 million in NFIP claims

As residents of Taylor County and the Big Bend mark the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Idalia’s devastating impact, the federal government announced on Aug. 28 that the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) has paid out a staggering $372 million in claims related to the storm.
