Volunteer group severs its partnership with shelter

On Friday, Aug. 23, Hearts for Hometown Dogs — a local non-profit animal advocacy group that partnered with Taylor County Animal Control to transport dogs and cats to area “no-kill” rescues — announced on social media it was breaking ties with the county.
