    County commission dogged by animal control complaints

    More than a dozen speakers — some overcome with emotion — addressed the county commission over animal control issues during Tuesday’s meeting.

    County commissioners and staff fielded a tidal wave of criticism and concern regarding the county’s handling of animal control following the surprise announcement last Friday that Hearts For Hometown Dogs (HFHD) was severing ties with the shelter after an eight-year partnership.
