Pros and cons of a new city drinking water well

Contacted after the city’s Sept. 9 council meeting, City Water Department Superintendent Andrew Peters explained one of the main reasons he believes the city should pursue a new well location “is for the potential of a better-quality source water that could potentially require less treatment.”
