Alvin Franklin Harry, 70, gained his heavenly license to fish and joke on Oct. 4, 2024. Franklin was born to the late Alvin and Viola Harry on April 8, 1954, in Tallahassee.
He grew up in Perry and graduated from Taylor County High School.
He learned the trades of glass work and welding, working for Watkins Engineering Tool Room and Whiddon Glass before retiring.
In 1973, he married the late Jenny Turnage Harry.
They were blessed with two daughters, Tracy Lynn Harry and Tammy Harry Barlow (David), and four grandchildren, Macy Sadler, Marlee Sadler, Russ Barlow and Reed Barlow, all of which survive him today.
He is also survived by his sister, Illia Harry Clark; a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends; and one great-aunt, Louise Weatherly. A graveside memorial will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. at Boyd Methodist Cemetery.
