Cynthia Brooks died Sept. 30, 2024, in Tallahassee.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m., at New Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church, followed by interment at Springhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 11, from 4-6 p.m. At Evans-Walker Funeral Home.

She is survived by: children, Veronica Phelps, Lyntoria L. Colson, Vearl Flanders Jr. and Jermaine J. Flanders Sr.; six grandchildren; and two brothers, James Lockett (Caroldean) and Cal Lockett.
